I like the comparison. Cats are looking out for number one and you have to earn their trust.

I'm personally very much a cat person and I like the fact that they have a mind of their own. It makes me respect them more knowing they don't respond to every call.

The thing about cats is that once they're on your lap, they can be there for hours and hours. Just keep them happy and don't move around a lot.

Bryony - Love this article!

I have to say that this was very well timed reading this for me this week as I am the first to preach this to customers but am sometimes the worst to do this myself.

There is a difference between being "customer or demand led" and being swept along by customers without thinking of your 2 P's as you put it.

When I read your article this week I thought to myself "That Bryony is spot on again.. thanks for the reminder" almost as if you had been looking over my shoulder and seen the work that I had been doing that wasn't particularly the right kind of work. We had been filling in gaps and helping customers out when it wasn't really what we were best at. That kind of work can grind you down a bit if you are not careful.

After reading your article I gave myself a prompt kick up the bottom to do the stuff that I knew I should be doing and as a result I have three fabulous new clients that I should have had ages ago :)

Thanks for the reminder :)

Wow! Thank you for those kind words, Bryony! You did a fantastic job this weekend, taking in information, playing with different ideas, throwing yourself into the process. I'm so pleased that you are back on track - with a vengeance, it seems!

You absolutely will have that book in your hands very soon, and so will a lot of other lucky people!
